geCHO BioDesign Platform
NeuImmune’s geCHO BioDesign platform has two major components:
the geCHO cell line panel and the AI platform for identifying optimal glycoforms and cell line optimization.
The geCHO cell line panel
For most biologics, optimal glycoprofiles are unknown so glycosylation is often not considered in the drug development pipeline. Using the NeuImmune geCHO cell technology, we can produce different therapeutic glycoprotein variants with defined, homogenous, and predictable profiles – bespoke glycosylation signatures. The dozens of glycoform variants resulting from geCHO comprehensively span the entire human glycan design space, instead of just representing a few heterogeneous glycoforms obtained using standard approaches. Importantly, these bespoke proteins can be made within the same timeframe of the most rapid commercial pipelines.
AI Platform
The company has developed comprehensive AI platforms to facilitate (1) identification of optimal glycoforms associated with desired functional activity and (2) conditions for bioprocess optimization using the panel of geCHO cell lines.

CHO cells remain the most widely used cells for the manufacturing of biologics, since they have the unique advantages of robust cell growth, effective post-translational modification, and well-established standards of good manufacturing practice (GMP), compared to other mammalian cells/systems. Within the list of CHO enhancements, glycosylation stands out as one of the most crucial quality attributes and the most difficult parameter to control owing to its complex structures and sensitivity to the manufacturing process. Many steps involved during the cell line development process are crucial to the final product glycosylation profile – this is where NeuImmune has a unique and significant competitive advantage.
